IGOMA PROJECT AREA AT THE BEGINNING

The Registered Trustees  of Same  Zone  Islamic Organization  Trust  Fund  (SAZIO –TF)  is a voluntary religious  Non Governmental Organization, registered on  2002 ( Reg. No 3825) by the Administrator General Trustees of Tanzania under RITA. The purpose of establishing the Trust  is to provide  formal education,  vocational and religious  training  as well as  promoting social and  economic welfare  to the  community members  of Same District and  Tanzania  at large. In order  to implement  these broad  objectives, SAZIO – TF has formed an independent operational organ  known as Igoma Islamic Education  Centre after acquired two  parcels of  land at  Igoma, Same District in Kilimanjaro Region  with a total area of  67.4 hectares. This area where various educational, social and economic related project activities of the Center will be carried out has been appropriately surveyed and issued with title deed for 33 years effective 9th September 2010. The process is underway to extend the lease tenure to 99 years.

      MANAGEMENT AND ORGANIZATION

The Center shall be run efficiently by observing modern management techniques and principles including the appointment of members of the Board of Trustees, the Management and the entire staff on merit basis. The Board of Trustees shall be responsible for overall financial and operational healthiness of the Center while the Principal shall be responsible for its day to day operations. The latter shall be assisted by the heads of secondary school and vocational training college respectively.


The Vocational Training Collage will abide to training standards set by National Vocational Training Authority (VETA) for ultimate accreditation. On the other hand the polytechnic secondary school shall adopt curriculum, standards, rules and regulations set out by the Ministry of Education and Technical Training and technical training standards set by VETA at basic certificate level.

This project involves phased implementation of various project  objectives which shall be executed in 67 hectares surveyed block of land  located in Igoma area, Mheza village, Maore Ward, Same District in Kilimanjaro Region. This area has been appropriately surveyed and conferred with a Title Deed  for 33 years effective 1stJuly, 2009.

Igoma lies between Kisiwani and Gonja Maore sub-towns adjacent to the famous Mkomazi National Park along the Same – Mkomazi paved road which is passable virtually in all seasons of the year. Electricity power line which is also running parallel to this road joining the two towns could easily be tapped and connected to the project area which is located about two (2) kilometers off to the west.

Project Objectives

Igoma Islamic Education Center has been established with a view to provide circular and Islamic education training for Same District Community members and the adjacent regions. The center when  all its projects are  fully operational shall provide education and training for pre-school, primary, secondary, higher education and vocational apprenticeship to youth which will assist them either secure jobs easily or be self employed. The Board of Trustees of the Center have, after making consultations with various take holders decided to begin implementation of this project by construction a vocational Training College and a polytechnic boarding secondary school

SAZIO PROJECTS HIGHLIGHTS
SAZIO-TF has secured and accordingly surveyed some 67 hectares block of land at Igoma area, Mheza village, Maore Ward, Same District in Kilimanjaro Region for carrying out  its various projects. The relevant land area which has been conferred with a Title Deed for 33 years effective 1st July, 2009 lies between Kisiwani and Gonja Maore sub-towns adjacent to the famous Mkomazi National Park along the Same – Mkomazi paved road which is passable virtually in all seasons of the year. Electricity supply line is just 2 miles away while water supply is expected to be tapped  from the all year round flowing Hingilili River some 6 kms away. Alternatively and depending on cost benefits analysis water could be drilled below for surveys have proved existence of abundant reserves underground.
