Same Zone Islamic Organization Trust Fund is a voluntary religious and Non Government Organization which was registered in 2002 (Registration No. 3825), under Tanzania Trustees’ Incorporation Ordinance (Cap. 375), (1956). The main objective for forming this Trust were to provide religious, educational, social and economic services to the Muslim and non-Muslim communities in Same District and Tanzania at large. The Trust was formed by the Muslims of Same District through their mosques set up with a view of pulling resources in order to attain rapid social – economic development particularly in the religious and formal education fields. This project was also initiated to bridge the glairing intellectual gap which apparently exists between Muslims and other denominations mostly due to various historical reasons some dating back before and after independence to date.

    The projects shall be implemented in a 67 Hectares block of surveyed land which lies between Kisiwani and Gonja Maore sub-towns adjacent to the famous Mkomazi National Park along the Same – Mkomazi  paved road. For the purpose of implementing and coordinating this project the Board of Trustees constituted and formed a functional independent organ known as Igoma Islamic Education Centre. The overall management responsibility of the Centre shall be vested on the Board of Trustees while the management team headed by a Principal shall be responsible for running and controlling its day to day affairs. The centre shall be run by observing sound managerial practices, transparency and accountability to ensure the principles of value for money and professionalism is upheld.

    The Phase I part of these projects which is currently in progress  anticipated to take 5 years to complete however if basic required funding and the construction of various infrastructures are implemented as scheduled. 

 This  Mosqueof Mamba  Myamba is one of the 24 mosques which joined together to form SAZIO.
