Igoma Islamic Education
Center has been established with a view to provide circular and Islamic
education training for Same District Community members and the adjacent
regions. The center when fully operational shall provide education and training
for pre-school, primary, secondary, higher education and vocational
apprenticeship to youth which will enable them either secure jobs easily or be
self employed. The Board of Trustees of the Center have, after making
consultations with various take holders decided to begin implementation of this
project by construction a vocational Training College and a polytechnic
boarding secondary school

Recruitment of O-Level students for the Polytechnic Secondary
School is
expected to commence during the year 2014/15 while A – level students
will be recruited three years after the Management has acquired adequate
academic and administration experience.
The Centre will have in
place basic teaching and full board facilities and other essential practical
and academic infrastructure to ensure quality training delivery to students.
The centre will, as much as practicable, separate these facilities for boys and
girls in order to uphold Islamic values. On the academic perspective the mode
and quality of education provided will be in line with the curriculum of the
Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training. The Government is
currently emphasizing incorporation of some technical training in secondary
schools in its quest to reduce the spate of huge youth unemployment in the
country. Similarly in line with that paradigm the center will provide
vocational skill to students at certificate and diploma level to afford them to
be readily employed or be self employed upon accomplishing the training.
